This page explains the design procedure using a basic PA system as an example.
In what order should systems be designed?
Roughly speaking, systems are designed from the outside of the system diagram to the inside.
On the outside there is an input side and an output side.
Information on both of these needs to be obtained from the field.
(For new construction projects, designers can only imagine from the drawings...)

The input device may be requested by the user. Where to use the microphone (MIC), how many microphones to use, etc.
The user may request whether the output side wants to broadcast there.
However, users may not be familiar with where and how to install speakers (SP). This should be decided by the system designer. In order to decide this, it is necessary to understand the acoustic environment of the site.
Once the required SP is determined, the designer can decide on the equipment configuration on the output side.
Finally, select the central mixer or matrix according to the equipment configuration on the input and output sides.
This is the general procedure.
